The Day After Tomorrow It is the sixth-highest grossing film not to be #1 in the United States (behind My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Alvin and the Chipmunks and it's sequel , Sherlock Holmes, and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs.  However worldwide, it is third behind only Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs and Casino Royale.

Co-written, directed, and produced by Roland Emmerich and starring Dennis Quaid, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ian Holm, Emmy Rossum, and Sela Ward. The film depicts fictional catastrophic climatic effects in a series of  events that usher in global cooling and leads to a new ice age.
