Biography

Emanuele Arnone was born and raised in Italy, in the heart of Rome and even after spending half his life in Los Angeles he still possesses that passionate temperament and love for beauty he inherited from the "eternal city".

At an early age he started to display an exceptional love for all forms of music and studied several instruments, music theory and composition both at the conservatory and privately with the very best teachers available.

Being surrounded with musical tradition all his life but also deeply drawn to modern music Emanuele found himself to inevitably move across the ocean to continue his music education in the United States. He won a Special Abilities Scholarship at prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston and found himself passionately engaged in the study music for motion pictures that in 1991 earned him a BA majoring in Film Scoring.

He decided to move to Los Angeles where Hollywood's film industry would provide a real world education and unique opportunities. Very shortly after in 1993 he started working at Hans Zimmer’s Media Ventures where Oscar winning The Lion King was created that year. Since that time he has gone on to compose award winnings scores, edit music and license songs for film and television including some Hollywood multi million dollar blockbusters.

His body of work ranges from studio features films such as the biggest disaster movie in Hollywood's history The Day After Tomorrow directed by Roland Emmerich, Surrender Dorothy a comedic drama starring Diane Keaton, to licensing music to television shows such as the Warner Brother's "Ellen: The Ellen DeGeneres Show", "Extra The Entertainment Magazine".

Arnone's engaging and atmospheric scores have enhanced numerous indie films; recent projects include the thriller Refuge From The Storm starring Michael Madsen  (Kill Bill)) and Sweet Talk, a comedy starring Natalie Zea (The Following).

His diverse repertoire ranges from epic symphonic scores featuring 80-piece orchestras to intimate, small ensembles and hybrid electronic scores featuring solo instruments and sound design. His thematic and very melodic approach, command of traditional and new film scoring techniques, produce an original combination of sounds that breathes emotion into all of his work.

One of Arnone’s most unique assignments include composing with long term music partner Dino Herrmann the intensely emotional and lyrical score for the independent feature film Now Chinatown. The score was recorded blending a string ensemble, vocals, and synthesizers with the stunning sounds of traditional Chinese instruments. Such a unique sound caught the attention of the Foreign Press that honored him with making it an official selection for the Golden Globe Award for best music score.

Arnone is also a very accomplished music producer and songwriter with songs licensed in TV and commercials. His song Let Love Go on the Buddha Bar X album reached the top of international and iTunes electronic album charts and he has written music for several high profile commercials including a series of spots that won him four Telly Awards for best music.
